The Memorial Home of Croatian War Veterans was built in Borovo naselje next to the site of the former local community building where in 1991 the command headquarters of the neighborhood was located. The building has the shape of a clenched fist that symbolizes the strength with which Vukovar defended against aggression. In the centre of the Memorial Home there is a chasm with a turret of the destroyed JNA tank and around it there are names of all the fallen members of the 204th Vukovar Brigade. There are 12 video screens with war photos and videos of the early events, as well as authentic war reports.

In front of the Memorial Home there is a tank that stands as a token of force crushed by the brave defenders, and a bust of Blago Zadro, a great Vukovar hero who led the defenders in this part of Vukovar and fought alongside them.

The author of the Memorial Home is Miljenko Romic.
